As the Holmes’ Seattle team continues to grow, Elisa Chen’s quick wit and wealth of experience has led her to become a reliable mentor and trusted technical asset to the Holmes team. Elisa was drawn to Holmes by the praise of the company given by friends turned colleagues, and her passion is sustained by the way Holmes continues to build and support a community of talented and hardworking engineers. Elisa’s career was built on a foundation of large-scale commercial projects, museums, and performing arts centers. With Holmes’, she has continued her deep affinity for unique and structurally complex “jewel box projects”, which has led her to expand Holmes’ high-end residential practice in the Pacific Northwest. While Elisa loves the technical details of her work, she is also energized by leading. She enjoys working with and mentoring younger engineers; offering advice and watching them grow into their budding careers. Elisa is proud to be an engineer with Holmes and creating a product with a tangible result – functional spaces for people to work, play, and live!

When Elisa is not hard at work on a bespoke residence or leading colleagues on an expansive multi-use development, you will find her spending time with her friends and family through travel or phone calls. Her life is illuminated by the close relationships she shares with the people she loves, even when separated by physical distance. On a weekend, catch her at a live show, exploring local subcultures and corresponding cuisines, or painting and hanging out with her sweet cats Milo and Nakia.
