Principal
Paul Littler
SE

Period architecture, West Coast culture, and close-knit community drew Paul to San Francisco. He arrived by way of his native UK and Dubai, joining Holmes as an inquisitive structural engineer. Over a decade later, he’s grown his career to become a principal and lead people manager with plenty of friendships forged and quips dropped along the way. Paul oversees historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and retrofit projects that uphold each place’s character with sustainable structures. Additionally, he chairs San Francisco Heritage—a nonprofit preserving and enhancing the city’s architectural and cultural identity.
When Paul isn’t devising light-touch strengthening strategies, you can catch him playing bass, headbanging to heavy metal, shooting soccer goals as striker, or repping Nottingham Forest FC. He and his wife are discovering the newfound joys of parenting: they welcomed a daughter in 2020. He’d also like to tell you about his rescue cat Marco.
