The original residence was dark and divided into many small rooms. The developer and architect envisioned an open modern residence that would take advantage of the views of the Bay and Golden Gate Bridge, while fostering a healthy lifestyle in offering the most modern and luxurious amenities. This LEED Platinum certified building has state-of-the-art efficient building control systems and security that is housed in a dedicated technology room. Holmes structurally engineered its renovation with a full seismic retrofit, expanded attic, and an opening of the rear with sweeping deck views and terraces. A spa, steam room, outdoor shower and lap pool create an urban oasis retreat for the family. The public areas have been opened up creating expansive rooms and wide openings to flow freely from one space into the other. The cantilevered staircase floats in the light filled stair atrium. An additional secured parking space in the garage was created with a pit car lift.
